All of our staff have a wealth of experience of the property market and all live within the local area. Matthew Staves – Director

Having been in the Estate Agency business since 1996, all of this time operating within the Sheffield and Dronfield area, I have realised that client satisfaction and customer care is paramount. That is why at Staves Estate Agents we are totally committed to keeping you fully informed and guiding you through every step of the house moving process. We also know that there is no substitute for expertise and knowledge of the local area, which is why we feel passionately that our experience gained operating within the area coupled with our values as a family run business, enable us to provide you with the best service and advice possible.

Amy Staves – Director

Amy co-founded the company with Matthew in 2010 and has been an integral part in the company’s growth and success ever since. Amy has a passion for customer care and is also supremely organised. Living locally Amy has excellent local knowledge of the property market which combined with her friendly and professional approach has seen her become very popular with clients past and present. Amy is involved in a number of local community and charity initiatives which has helped her to make strong and lasting relationships with local people and organisations.

James Staves – Dronfield Director

Having expert local knowledge of the Dronfield property market and a genuine care for its people means that we can provide a unique bespoke service to our clients and assist them with the sale or let of the property right the way through to completion. James appreciates that the most important commodity for an estate agent is an unrelenting commitment to ensure that the best possible sale can be agreed with the minimum of stress for the client and that is exactly what we aim to do.

Lucy Staves – Dronfield Director

Having significant experience within the lettings industry having worked within the Nottingham market for several years, Lucy brings a wealth of knowledge to the company. Living in Dronfield with her family including two young children, Lucy shows a genuine care to her clients and an understanding of their requirements and will endeavour to deliver outstanding customer service with a professional approach.

William Staves – Lettings Manager

Will is in charge of our ever growing lettings portfolio and has been with the company since we opened the doors for business. Wills enthusiasm and work ethic is a major contributor to the company enjoying the success and reputation that we enjoy today. Will believes strongly in the ethos of the company which is based on customer care and client satisfaction and takes great pride in ensuring that we provide the best possible levels of service to both landlords and tenants. Will likes nothing more than matching properties to tenants and tenants to properties.

Robert Oakley – Senior Valuer

Robert Oakley is a highly experienced Senior Valuer, known for his expert local knowledge and in-depth understanding of the property market. With many years of experience valuing a wide range of properties, Robert provides accurate, well-informed appraisals tailored to current market conditions. His strong knowledge of the local area allows him to advise clients confidently on pricing, market trends, and buyer demand. Robert takes a professional, honest, and down to earth approach, ensuring clients feel informed and supported throughout. He is trusted by homeowners and landlords alike for his attention to detail, clear communication, and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.

Ben Willis – Office Manager

Ben has been with Staves for 13 years, having started his career here as an apprentice. During this time, he has grown into his current role as Office Manager and become a highly trusted and valued member of the team. Ben is friendly, approachable, and extremely hardworking, with a genuine commitment to supporting both colleagues and clients. He plays a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the office, leading by example and always willing to go the extra mile. His experience, dedication, and positive attitude make him an integral part of the Staves team.

Andy Bright – Valuer

Andy has lived and worked within the local area for the last 20 years and has a wealth of local knowledge. Andy Started with Staves in early 2024 and brings with him extensive professional experience and business skills. Andy is a hardworking and conscientious member of staff who is thriving in his role as valuer and loves nothing more than being able to match people with property and thrives on meeting and engaging with both sellers and buyers.

Charly Twigg – Property Consultant

Charly Twigg is a highly successful, trusted, and committed member of the team at Staves. Known for her exceptional work ethic and positive approach, Charly consistently goes the extra mile to ensure every client receives the highest level of service. Gail Green – Property Consultant

Gail is based at our Woodseats office and brings outstanding first-hand knowledge of the area, having lived locally all her life. She takes great pride in sharing her extensive understanding of the community and the people within it, whom she knows exceptionally well. Gail’s drive, enthusiasm, and in-depth knowledge of the local property market, combined with her friendly and approachable manner, make her a valuable asset to Staves.

Teresa Mulcrone – Property Consultant

Teresa joined Staves busy Woodseats office in 2022 having previously worked for a local IT company for the last ten years. Teresa brings a wealth of customer service experience after working in the IT sector in both technical and customer support roles and is passionate about customer care and providing outstanding service standards to our clients and is an excellent addition to the team. Teresa has lived within the South West of Sheffield for the last 25 years and has excellent local knowledge of this and surrounding areas.

Ben Stepniak – Property Consultant

Ben is an extremely enthusiastic and approachable member of staff who loves dealing with clients both face to face and over the phone and has a passion for customer service and client care, due in part to his previous employment history in high end hospitality. Ben is hard working and diligent in his attitude towards work and is a real asset to the Staves team.

Teagan Quigley – Property Consultant

Teagan started with Staves as an apprentice but has quickly worked her way up through the company and is now a vital member of the sales team. Teagan has an excellent polite and friendly manner and enjoys nothing more than matching buyers to property. Teagan has bags of enthusiasm and is a fantastic asset to our sales team.

Aimee Spencer – Property Consultant

Aimee is a vital member of the sales team based at our Dore office. Aimee possesses all of the qualities needed to be an excellent estate agent, she excels in a sales environment, is very attentive to all of his clients and strives to excel on a daily basis. Aimee has a passion for property and fully identifies with the Staves ethos of client satisfaction and customer care.

Nicola Needham – Lettings Accounts Manager

Nicola first started working at Staves in 2023 having previously worked for Fairways Letting agents for 15 years. Nicky is extremely experienced and knowledgeable within the lettings sector and is responsible for rent payments and money transfers. Nicola is a very organised and efficient member of staff and is an invaluable member of the lettings team.

Faye Balm – Lettings Consultant

Faye joined Staves in the summer of 2025 and is based in our lettings department. Faye has brought with her a wealth of experience in the lettings sector, having previously worked for a prominent Sheffield lettings firm for the previous 15 years. Faye is driven to achieve the best results for our clients and follows this up with an outstanding level of care and professionalism towards both landlords and tenants. Faye also has excellent communication skills and is a very strong and adaptable team performer.

Grace Proud – Lettings Consultant

Grace joined Staves in August 2025 and has proved herself to be a very capable, productive hard working and enthusiastic member of staff. Her cheerful well-mannered approach has been welcomed by our clients, whilst her ‘can do’ attitude has ensured the service received by our landlords and tenants has remained outstanding. Grace is an excellent and valued member of the lettings team.

Katie Pywell – Mortgage Advisor

Katie has a great deal of knowledge and experience within the mortgage market and will take the time to understand the clients situation and needs to enable her to provide the soundest advice. Katie is an independent broker who will work hard to find the best available deal depending on your circumstances.

Peter Mycock – Viewing Consultant

Peter is one of our viewing specialists. Peter lives locally and has fantastic knowledge of the local area. Peter is very approachable and friendly and has a knack of putting people at ease. We have received many compliments about Peters calm and friendly manner when conducting viewings.

Alison Howard – Viewing Consultant

Alison is our accompany viewer covering the Dronfield and Chesterfield areas. Conducting property viewings with a friendly and approachable manner, Alison offers sound advice to buyers and tenants and has an excellent breadth of knowledge of the local area having been a resident of Dronfield Woodhouse for many years and is heavily involved in many local grouped and clubs, including being a member of Hallowes Golf Club.
